How to Use

1. Paste Your Formatted Text

Copy text from Word, Google Docs, or any application that preserves formatting, then paste it into the text area above. The tool will preserve bold, italic, and underline formatting.

2. Enter Search Term

Type the word or phrase you want to search for. The search will find all occurrences in your text.

3. Apply Style Filters (Optional)

Click the style filter buttons to refine your search:

  • First click (✓): Only show matches with this style
  • Second click (✗): Only show matches WITHOUT this style
  • Third click: Remove the filter

4. View Results

The tool will show you how many matches were found and display each match with its formatting styles indicated by colored badges.

Example Use Cases

  • Find how many times "The" appears in italic
  • Count bold instances of "Christian"
  • Locate all underlined proper nouns
  • Find words that are bold but not italic
